This blog is being used to document the beauty of the world around me, which occurs every day but is too often over looked. By taking this time to reflect I hope to better appreciate life, and to share this with others.

In the town of Waltham, MA, there is a place called Stonehurst. On a recent rainy day I visited this historic house, as well as Gore House, also in Waltham.

212. Freedom of Speech
There was a protest in Harvard Square, Cambridge, today. People asking, where is my vote, in response to the election results released by the Iranian government. I don't claim to know whats right or wrong, but this employment of the right to free speech was a thing of beauty, particularly on this rainy sunday. Things were clearly quite different in Iran.

211. Seilide
This seilide, or snail, was on my mother's walk way recently. When I was young my family would sing Irish songs, including one about the snail or seilide.
Roughly it goes as follows:
Seilide, Seilide, bookee, stick out all your horns, all the old ladies are coming to see you.
Sung softly I have seen the snails stick their horns out at the aquarium.
The Clancy Brothers perform it here:
